Why we fight

Theeasiestthingafathercandoisdisappear.Wedon't.

This page is for the father who is tired, broke, and one bad hearing away from quitting. Read it before you decide anything.

How fathers actually lose

Most fathers don't lose their children in a courtroom. They lose them in the quiet.

A missed exchange nobody wrote down. A text that never got answered. A hearing continued three times until the money ran out. Then one day a man decides it would be easier for everyone if he just stopped showing up. Nobody files a motion about that. Nobody tracks it.

The system can keep a ledger for every dollar of support and put out a warrant for the man who falls behind. There is no comparable machine for the father who is kept from his child. If that record is going to exist, you are the one who has to build it.

We refuse to be a paycheck with visitation.

What this fight is

This is not a war on mothers. It is a stand for our children.

A child deserves both parents. Fathers Fight Back exists because the father is usually the one who walks in alone, unprepared, and already cast as the problem. We fight the only way that holds up: calm, documented, disciplined. Rage is what the other side is counting on. We don't give it to them.

01

Facts over feelings

A dated record is something you can hand over. A memory is not. We log what happened, when it happened, and what proves it, then we let the record speak.

02

Discipline over drama

On time, every time. Dressed for it, prepared for it, respectful in the room. A steady father builds his own record just by being one, day after day.

03

Accountability over excuses

We hold ourselves to the standard we want the other side held to. No missed exchanges. No missed hearings. No missed payments. Then we hold each other to it.

From the founder

I was that man.

Nobody built anything for men like me. So I did.

When my son Luka was born, I went to my first custody hearing alone. The paperwork listed the other side as my child's mother and a representative of the State, versus Cody Greggs-Dorsey. Before anyone said a word, I had been placed on the other side of the government.

I was working fifteen-hour shifts in a warehouse and coming home to sit at the kitchen table with my case, line by line, because nobody else was going to fight for my son. Then, inside one month, I lost the home and the family I thought I was building. I hit the lowest point of my life. The one thought louder than everything else was simple. He needs me.

I got sober. I taught myself to build, every night after the world went quiet. I built this site so a father could learn the game he is already in, organize what happened to him, and walk in prepared. Then I built Grounded Kings, because the fight in court is only half the battle.

I don't get to choose to be tired. I don't get to choose comfort. My son is watching, and one day he is going to need to know that his father did not fold when it would have been easy to.

Cody Greggs-Dorsey, Founder

No surrender. No retreat.

The words I played every day.

On the drive in. On the warehouse floor. In the quiet after everyone else went to sleep. Not once in a while when I needed a push. Every day. Somewhere along the way they stopped being something I listened to and became part of who I am. The pledge on this site comes straight out of them.

We the Fathers

pledge to stand on the front line for our children.

We do not surrender and we do not retreat. We never back down.

We stay disciplined, we hold ourselves and each other accountable, and we do not make excuses.

Grounded before you fight

You can't fight for your kids if you're losing the fight with yourself.

Custody cases run long. Continuances, missed weekends, empty holidays. The system can wait a man out, and the man who breaks hands the other side everything it needs. Grounded Kings Foundation is a Michigan nonprofit built on peer mentorship for men carrying weight alone: discipline, real work on yourself, and brothers who hold you to it.

Fathers Fight Back is the strategy. Grounded Kings keeps you standing long enough to use it.
